GDPR Disclosure
Sentimaps is an insight platform that aggregates reviews from multiple map sources, analyzes them with AI, and produces location scores, and it processes data only for legitimate purposes tied to delivering the service. This disclosure explains the legal bases on which we process your personal data, where that data is stored, and your rights under the GDPR and KVKK.
Data controller and scope
- The data controller is EGOS TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED (Companies House No. 17154724, United Kingdom).
- The single contact for all privacy, legal, data-subject, and DPA requests is info@sentimaps.com.
- This disclosure covers your account details, location and brand data, review content, and product usage analytics.
- Details of the Google user data processed through the Google Business Profile integration are set out in our separate Privacy Policy: https://sentimaps.com/privacy
Legal basis for processing
- Performance of a contract: to manage your account and provide the service you subscribe to.
- Explicit consent: for example, when you connect your Google account and authorize access to your Google Business Profile data.
- Legitimate interests: to secure the service, prevent abuse, and improve the product using non-Google-user data; Google user data is processed only to provide the features you request and in line with the Limited Use commitments in our Privacy Policy.
- Compliance with legal obligations: where applicable law requires it.
Automated decision-making
- Our AI outputs (sentiment, topic analysis, and location scoring) are decision-support only and do not constitute automated decision-making producing legal or similarly significant effects on you.
- We do not carry out solely automated decision-making within the meaning of GDPR Article 22 that produces legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.
Your rights
- The right to request access to, rectification of, erasure of, and restriction of the processing of your data.
- The right to object to processing and, where the GDPR applies, the right to data portability.
- The right to withdraw your consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
- The rights available to you depend on the applicable law: rights under the GDPR and under KVKK Article 11 may differ, and to exercise your rights you can contact us at info@sentimaps.com.
- We respond to rights requests without undue delay and within one month, a period that may be extended where permitted under the GDPR.
Data location, international transfers, and retention
- Data is stored on Germany/EU-located servers (Hetzner).
- To deliver the service, we may transfer limited data to trusted processors: Google Gemini API (Google LLC) for AI analysis, Paddle for payments, and Resend for transactional email.
- The Google Gemini API is used on a paid, no-training tier; Google user data is not used to train generalized AI/ML models and is not used for advertising.
- Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements; we never sell Google user data or share it for third-party marketing. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy: https://sentimaps.com/privacy
- Some processors are located outside the EU/EEA (for example, Google LLC in the US); for those transfers we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and, for UK-origin data, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum (UK IDTA).
- A copy of the relevant safeguards is available on request at info@sentimaps.com.
- You can disconnect your connected Google accounts at any time, which removes the connection and stored access tokens.
- If you delete your account, all linked Google accounts, tokens, and associated Google data are removed; grace-period details are set out in our Privacy Policy: https://sentimaps.com/privacy
- You can also revoke Google access directly at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- After you close your account we delete or anonymize your personal data within a defined period (for example, 30-90 days), except where a longer period is required to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations, or to resolve disputes.
Right to lodge a complaint
- For the UK entity, you may lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO - ico.org.uk).
- For users in Türkiye, you may lodge a complaint with the KVKK Authority (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu - kvkk.gov.tr).
- We welcome the opportunity to address your concerns at info@sentimaps.com before you approach a supervisory authority.
